Psychotherapist
FL
My name is Isbell Oliva-Garcia, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Clinician fluent in both English and Spanish. I received my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling and a second master’s in Developmental Disabilities from Nova Southeastern University. I am also a PhD candidate. I have been in the mental health field for almost 10 years, helping adults and children with issues such as depression, anxiety, and challenges during difficult life transitions. I counsel individuals coping with grief from loss, clients experiencing divorce, empty nest syndrome, job loss, and career changes. Transitions can be difficult, and when we get stuck, I use psychological therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help. As a mental health clinician, I believe everyone’s mental health is important and vital at every stage of life. Our emotional, psychological, and social well-being all affect how we think, feel, and act. These aspects influence how we handle stress, relate to others, and make healthy choices. Mental health counseling is essential when our well-being goes off track and begins to affect daily functioning, personal or work relationships, or social life. During life changes and transitions, it’s common to experience worry and anxiety about the future, which can lead to sadness, anxiety, or depression due to potential losses or changes. These moments can be difficult to manage alone. YOU ARE NOT ALONE! I am here to guide and coach you through these challenges and help you discover the possibilities and strengths within yourself. For life to be stable and fulfilling, the mind must be nourished continuously to ensure mental wellness. Helping others in this way is my passion. I look forward to working with you and showing you how to nourish your mind so your brain can flourish through the waters of change.
