Getting to know Dr. JacQue Timberlake

My name is Dr. JacQue' Timberlake (I go by Jay), and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in both Texas and Missouri. I earned my bachelor's degree from Pittsburg State University in 2015 and my master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Webster University in 2019. I achieved a doctorate in Forensic Psychology at Walden University. I began counseling clients of all ages in 2018. During that time, I worked part-time at New Hope Counseling Center, a private practice in Kansas City, Missouri. I also served as a Family and Youth Specialist for the University of Kansas Hospital, working with children aged 4 to 18. In this role, I developed a strong understanding of childhood trauma and facilitated psycho-educational therapy groups to support each patient's treatment plan. From 2019 to the present, first as an LPC-Associate and now as a fully Licensed Professional Counselor, I have gained valuable experience providing counseling services to diverse populations, including juveniles and adults involved with the judicial system.

What should a new client know about working with you?

As a counselor, I will provide an empathetic, supportive, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment for my clients. I will help individuals process and manage their anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns and additional mental health difficulties. I hope to be a resource to help my clients break their cycle of pain and discover their inner strength by setting goals to achieve lifelong happiness. Altogether, I will help you, your children and adolescents elicit positive change and thrive in your life and relationships.
