Psychotherapist
VA
Hello, I'm Jamee. Congratulations on taking the first step towards finding a therapist. The relationship between therapist and client is vital to the healing process, and I'm here to support you through it. Life can be challenging, but therapy doesn't have to be. Managing multiple stressors and expectations can become overwhelming, and spending an hour on self-care in the form of therapy is worth it; you are worth it. No matter what you're going through, you can get through it with support, learning new coping skills, and problem-solving strategies. By understanding how your thoughts and emotions affect your behaviors, you'll find that you can manage stress, reduce symptoms related to anxiety and depression, foster healthier relationships, and achieve a better work-life balance. Building upon your strengths and resiliencies can significantly improve your quality of life. When you learn to recognize what you can change and manage what you can't, you gain better control over your life. I bring over 20 years of experience working in both medical and mental health settings, including inpatient and outpatient care. My approach utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, problem-solving, and resource building to help my clients. I'm married with two teenage daughters, and to recharge my battery, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, attending live music events, concerts, and traveling. I look forward to working with you on your journey towards a happier and healthier you.
