***Please note this provider uses a platform called Headway to manage their practice. After booking, you will need to set up a Headway account to confirm your appointment. I earned my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from UMass Boston and hold a Bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College. I’ve worked with and loved learning about clients from many different backgrounds and walks of life, as well as helping my clients learn about themselves and their own needs. Many of my clients are neurodivergent or LGBTQ+, and struggle with motivation, communication, and the effort of being human in a stressful and sometimes unfriendly world. Some are goal-focused, while others just need someone to help untangle complex thoughts so they can move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I specialize in helping overwhelmed people find the motivation that's so often sapped by ADHD, autism, chronic disorders/illnesses, addictions/problem behaviors, and other difficult life circumstances. I work with adults and adolescents, and am experienced with bringing family members into sessions to facilitate communication. I strive to create an open and nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore what they want out of life and who they want to be, at a pace that works for them. As in life, there's no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, and I look forward to finding out if I might be a good fit for your unique needs. We might even have a laugh or two in the process.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Since my clients benefit from structure (and so do I), I try to schedule regular hour-long sessions, usually weekly or every-other-week. The first session will be mostly information-collecting, and the second session will be where we work together to come up with a treatment plan with goals and specific objectives. If you struggle with goal-setting, don't worry; I'm used to helping people through that process. Over time, if working with me is helpful, your need for support may change and you might not need to see me as often. Alternatively, during stressful times you might need to meet with me more often for additional support. I encourage open communication, and we can adjust our session frequency as your needs evolve.
