What should a new client know about working with you?

My direct counseling experience has been with young adult clients struggling with, depression, all anxieties, personality disorders, and more. I offer a bright and energetic approach, with a heavy emphasis on identifying goals and values. I also like working with couples and helping them identify areas of resentment and rebuild intimacy.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A typical first session would be used to gather background information such as talking about your relationships with others, your connection to family, and lifestyle habits. We will talk about your goals and discover any obstacles that prevent you from reaching them. This is YOU time. Some like use it to reflect, plan or simply release the emotions they have pent up. I will be there to listen, support and offer engaging commentary using evidence-based practices.

Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Initial session: $90 for 50 minutes
Ongoing session: $70 for 50 minutes
  • Sliding scale: Offers lower out-of-pocket fees on an individual basis, typically based on your ability to pay
  • Files your insurance claim: You pay the session fee upfront and the provider files the claim for you, so you can get reimbursed directly without worrying about the paperwork
  • Charges post-reimbursement amount: This provider will only charge you for the amount you pay after you get reimbursed from your insurance plan, so you don’t need to pay the session fee upfront

More information on payments and coverage

I do accept insurance and self-pay clients. For clients using insurance, no payment is taken until it is billed through insurance first. Clients will be responsible for paying any copays or fees thereafter. For all self-pay clients, payment is required, upfront, before the session begins. I also offer sliding scale for clients in financial need.
