Getting to know Jeannette Barber

I completed my Masters Degree at UMAB, graduating Magna Cum Laude. During college, I completed two years of internships. Prior to graduation, I also worked on the Statewide Crisis Hotline, and for Grassroots Shelter while raising my two children. Upon graduation, I completed an additional two years of supervised experience and passed two state board exams to obtain my LCSW-C. For decades after college, I put in the hard work of learning about mental health, about people, and about what really works to help them by being a psychotherapist on various interdisciplinary teams. We rolled up our sleeves together to get people through tough times. Learning through working with top specialists, as well as patients and their families has given me invaluable resources and expertise to apply to your care. I was also called upon to supervise and train other therapists while continuing to provide therapy at the largest mental health system in Maryland. My clinical knowledge and training are consistently updated through seminars and networking.
