I am a licensed professional counselor, LPC, who is certified in DBT-C and CSOTP. I received my undergraduate degree in psychology at Radford University and a Master's degree from Liberty University in professional counseling, graduating in 2015. I have been working in the Roanoke Valley since 2009, starting my career in counseling for adults with SMI. Through my experience and residencies, I have worked as a social worker, specializing in victims of domestic violence, serving as the president for the local DV committee. I have experience working with at-risk youth in the school setting and a group home setting. I also have experience working in forensic psychology, in the jail systems. I have experience working kids in the home setting, as well as group home setting. Including working with the family of the children who are at risk. I have worked in a variety of outpatient settings providing therapy for a variety of different symptoms and diagnoses. I specialize in working with sexual offenders as well as folks with sexual dysfunctions or sexual problems in their relationships, as well as those with substance abuse struggles. I currently work with folks who struggle with anxiety, depression, SMI, mood disorders, borderline personality disorder, suicidality, substance use, self-esteem, couples counseling, sexual issues, sex offenders, sexual deviant behaviors, re-entry, substance abuse, and trauma; having experience in the inpatient and outpatient settings. I can offer individualized DBT as well. I obtained my sex offender certification while working at a boys' group home and started to work with the sex offender population. I currently am a certified sex offender therapist and well as work with intimacy issues. I also conduct psychosexual evaluations, ASAM substance abuse evaluations, and level two evaluations.
