What should a new client know about working with you?

My journey in the field of mental health is ignited by a profound passion deeply rooted in my personal experiences. Armed with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Woman’s University, I bring a blend of academic rigor and personal empathy to my practice. Beyond the therapy room, my life is a rich tapestry of interests, from challenging CrossFit and boxing to serene hikes with my cherished Pomeranian, savoring the artistry of Persian cuisine, and engaging with the community through my podcast. My Iranian American heritage has gifted me with profound insights into cultural intricacies and their profound influence on relationships. This unique perspective enables me to build bridges of comprehension and acceptance, which is particularly valuable for men, including those from diverse cultural backgrounds, navigating amplified cultural disparities.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The process begins when you schedule your first appointment. Once you have requested the appointment, someone from our office will contact you to confirm your information and send you the new patient paperwork. Once that is complete, your therapist will contact you to introduce themselves and answer any questions you may have before your first appointment. During your first visit, you and your therapist will get to know one another and create a tailored plan for reaching your goals. At the end of the first session, you and your therapist will discuss how often to meet and set up your next appointment. Following your initial session, subsequent appointments will delve deeper into the topics and areas you've chosen to explore, using therapeutic methods tailored to your unique needs. Our approach is collaborative; your feedback and comfort are paramount. Regular check-ins during the course of therapy ensure that the sessions remain aligned with your evolving goals and needs. Throughout the therapeutic journey, we also provide resources, exercises, and readings when appropriate, ensuring you feel supported both inside and outside our sessions. As progress is made, you and your therapist will collaboratively reassess goals and the frequency of meetings, ensuring that you always receive the care and support that's best for you.
