Getting to know Jennifer Wolsin

UpLift Behavioral Health providers do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by any federal or state agency or other drugs that may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. I treat emotions that inhibit individuals from being their best selves and focus on ways to manage what is and isn't controllable in daily life. The goal of sessions is to help clients manage emotions effectively using tools that improve daily functioning. I have always enjoyed helping others and finding new ways to approach situations that bring motivation and enjoyment. I am in the process of being certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and my experience has predominantly been with children ages 4 to 18. I have developed a new passion for helping parents cope with their child's medical trauma, especially those related to NICU and PICU experiences. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor's degree from Towson University.
