What should a new client know about working with you?

First session will focus on learning about you and providing support for your current struggles. We will work towards building a safe relationship where different areas of your life can be explored. I will be honored to continue to share your story and provide support throughout our therapeutic relationship. I understand each person is unique and therefore I use an integrative theoretical approach with a trauma-informed lens to draw upon a range of interventions that meet specific needs.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

First I will focus on learning about you and what brings you in for support now, building a safe relationship with clear expectations and consistency, no judgment. I work within each individual's perspective, providing feedback when appropriate, and help guide a person to address their unmet needs through active listening and asking questions. I am mindful of pace and pay attention to where a person is at in their self reflection and readiness for change. Curiosity and creativity are some tools I use to form strong bonds and maintain a collaborative relationship that empowers people to advocate for themselves.
