Josie Mansergh-Johnson, MA

Psychotherapist
594 Bdwy, Ste 907, New York, NY
Hi, I'm Josie. I offer a space free of stigma or judgment, a safe container where you can feel free to excavate the feelings, problems and secrets you might never have been able to voice to someone else. I am here to walk alongside you through the tougher seasons of life so that you can remain self-connected whilst weathering life's storms, make choices aligned with your values even under pressure and help you to become more of who you already are. Whether we are navigating childhood trauma, addictive behaviors, or family dynamics, we look at the whole picture. Through a Jungian, depth, emotional trauma and systems lens, we will intentionally explore the shadow and the unconscious to foster a deeper connection to your true Self. To increase efficacy, I weave in practical, evidence-based approaches such as DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Sensorimotor tools—so you leave sessions with both profound insight and concrete skills. If you are a parent seeking support for your child (ages 10+), my approach is child-led and developmentally amended - combining psychodynamic play and art therapy with child and adolescent DBT and parent coaching so healing happens collectively at home. It can include age-appropriate education on addiction. If you are a partner or family member navigating a loved one's active addiction or recovery, this is your dedicated space to untangle your relationship, process shame and fear, improve boundary and communication skills and finally find yourself again. You do not have to carry this weight alone.
