Getting to know Joy Welch
I have been working for over 25 years with individuals and families in crisis. This work has taken me into psychiatric hospitals, nonprofit agencies, community services, and group practices. Having a multiracial family provides me deeper insight and connection in working with diverse populations. I work with adults ages 18 to 100, with most of my expertise in supporting women in transition or crisis. Some of the issues I address include abuse, adoption, pregnancy, parenting, relationships, identity, depression, and anxiety. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of Houston, which has further equipped me to provide compassionate and effective care. I fully accept clients where they are and look forward to supporting them through therapy.
