Hello, I'm Juanita. My hopes are to create an atmosphere that is comfortable and accepting and to develop a collaborative therapeutic relationship with my clients. My primary goal is to come alongside you and assist in managing issues that can cause you to feel stuck in a difficult state, feeling overwhelmed or paralyzed, and unable to make changes. I believe that helping clients discover new ways of coping assists them in moving toward a more effective and rewarding life. I primarily use cognitive-behavioral, brief, and solution-focused therapies and techniques among other tools to develop an integrative approach that is tailored to each client individually. My areas of focus include but are not limited to life transitions, stress, anxiety/panic, depression, work and school anxiety, obsessive thinking, grief, as well as career transitions, academic, and life coaching. I enjoy empowering people to develop new behaviors, cognitions, and skills that will lead to an enhanced lifestyle and the ability to handle future challenges. I enjoy working with people of all backgrounds and consider it a privilege to share in each client's journey. My goal is to help you develop insight, create meaning, and establish concrete tools that can be used long after our work has been completed. I do this by creating a positive and supportive environment that allows for vulnerability and growth. I work solely with adults aged 18 and over, and I look forward to meeting you!
