IL
Hi there, I'm Julie! I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) based in Downers Grove, Illinois, working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adults and adolescents and specialize in anxiety, depression, stress, and trauma, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Yoga Therapy, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) to help clients make progress and start feeling better. My approach My therapy approach varies based on each client's needs. I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Somatic Therapies, as both help us understand challenges and explore solutions leading to a more balanced and joyful life. My focus My style fits adults and teens dealing with stress, anxiety, and past traumas, often manifesting as anxiety, depression, and stress. I help clients understand how their habits and thoughts cause distress and build skills to feel better and develop a more positive outlook. My communication style I am calm, personable, and direct. I want clients to feel comfortable talking about anything and pride myself on listening without judgment. My journey to mental healthcare I was a yoga teacher and personal trainer for many years, and many clients struggled with mental health impacting their physical health. To better help, I studied mental health and earned a master?s degree in Counseling from National Louis University. Combining physical and mental health knowledge helps me support clients holistically. My goals for you I partner with clients to explore achievable goals and navigate the best path forward, starting by building trust, setting goals, and tracking progress.
