Getting to know Justin Paulus
Justin holds a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University and a BS in Psychology. Additionally, he has been a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Level II (CAD II), since 2019. In 2016, Justin helped design and launch a Sober Living Program in Kennesaw for individuals struggling with substance abuse issues. He has also worked in treatment centers, facilitating both group and individual client sessions. Justin primarily works with men and couples dealing with family relationships, self-esteem, trauma, and life transition challenges. He specializes in substance abuse disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, and sexual addiction.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Justin believes that everyone deserves to feel wanted, loved, and feel like they belong. Everyone deserves to have the opportunity to heal and become the best versions of themselves. Helping others find purpose and meaning in their lives is his passion. Justin enjoys working with clients to help them uncover hope and work together toward transformation.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Justin Typically helps clients grow their self-awareness into behaviors, thoughts, or beliefs that are causing them to not reach the goals they have for their lives. The unconscious mind is quite powerful and can cause us to get in our own way. Justin helps you identify these so you can realign them to help you reach your goals and not hinder you from them.

Justin has been so great for me to work with. He really balances listening, asking me introspective questions and making me realize the hard truths with out telling me what i have to do or being negative. I have seen so much individual growth since I started working with him. He is also just a pleasant guy to spend time talking with.

I have been seeing Justin for a little over a year now. Throughout that time Justin has helped me tremendously both personally and in my relationships with my spouse and others.
As a busy professional with a young child it is also a great benefit that I can see Justin in person or virtually depending on my schedule.
