UpLift Behavioral Health providers do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by any federal or state agency or other drugs that may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. I believe what we've been through shapes us but does not have to define us. I can help with anxiety, depression, and compulsive behaviors such as problematic internet usage and addictions. I also have experience with partner violence and betrayal and can support you in managing the emotions that accompany those events. We all have trauma to one degree or another, and often our concerning or difficult behavior patterns are attempts to avoid focusing on our pain. I can help you process the trauma and form a new relationship with it. I hold a Master's in Professional Counseling and a Bachelor's degree from Liberty University, as well as an Associate's degree from Holmes Community College.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Internet use can become problematic due to addictive behaviors such as gaming, gambling and pornography. If you or someone you love believe that you may have a problem with your internet use, I can help to walk you through a process of identifying and treating these problematic behaviors. I am an RN and a licensed mental health therapist specializing in trauma informed care, anxiety and addictions. Addictions often have their origins in pain and trauma. I can help by meeting you with unconditional positive regard and hearing your story. Together, we can identify the maladaptive thoughts and behaviors that led to your addiction and replace them with adaptive coping tools. My experience includes substance use disorders as well as sexual addictions, compulsive behavior and sexual offending. Please reach out to share your story and to start the journey to fully living the life you want to live, free from addiction.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I meet each client with unconditional positive regard, no matter what you have been through. I listen as you share your story and help you understand how it affects you now.
