Everyone has an important story to tell, a point of view that is meaningful and worthwhile to explore. Our thoughts and feelings can become incredibly overwhelming at times, impacting our well-being and ability to manage our lives. Maybe you are going through a major life transition, or maybe you are working on understanding yourself and your relationships better—therapy can help you get back on track and feeling better. My belief is that feeling our best comes to a good life balance and being understood. Therapy can help you achieve and maintain balance and better manage the stressors of life. After graduating from New York University with a Master's in Social Work, I worked in an inpatient setting, day hospital, and community mental health clinic as a therapist. For the last six years, my focus has been running a specialized program for young adults coping with serious mental illness. I have had the honor of working with many types of individuals and families on their journey to recovery and wellness. In my clinical practice, I have experience in group therapy as well as individual and family therapy. Now, I focus on working with individuals who are struggling with life transitions and who are experiencing mood and anxiety disorders. I also have an interest in working with new parents or those who are in the process of becoming a parent. I use a wide range of techniques in therapy and, most importantly, will use whatever fits your needs and style. I have extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and psychodynamic talk therapy. We will collaborate on what is best for you and what you want to get out of therapy. You will find a supportive and positive space to process and work on the goals that are most important to you. Reach out to talk and see how I can help you achieve your goals and find balance.
