Getting to know Katie Denise Belcher-Miller
Hello, I'm Katie, owner of Anchored in Hope Counseling Services LLC. Do you identify as neurodivergent or suspect you may be? Do you struggle with anxiety or some type of mood issue? If you answered "yes" to either question (or both!), then I might be the right therapist for you.
I have 11 years experience in the mental health field (and still love it)! As a therapist with lived experience, I particularly enjoy helping those who are anxious or depressed or those who identify as neurodivergent (ADHD/Autistic) who have co-occurring anxiety and depression learn to accept themselves and cope with the challenges of life they face.
I take a person-centered, psychoeducational, and neurodiversity affirming approach, while Incorporating DBT and CBT as well. I genuinely love supporting people and helping them reach their full potential.
What should a new client know about working with you?
During our first session together, I will gather some information to get to know you better. I will provide you with plenty of opportunities to ask any questions you may have about me or the counseling process. I will also start trying to build a therapeutic connection with you. You may not take away a lot of practical skills just yet, but you will have the opportunity to be seen, understood, and validated. If you are the type that loves practical skills from the beginning, just mention this to me and I will make it happen! In future sessions, I will try to provide a lot of tangible skills and tools you can utilize. If at any time you feel like I am giving you too few or too many things to work on, please let me know and I will adjust accordingly to meet your needs.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
