Hello, I'm Katie, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 8 years of experience in the mental health field. My journey began at Western Kentucky University, where I completed my undergraduate degree and discovered my passion for mental health. I furthered my education by earning a Master of Social Work degree in May 2019, while gaining valuable experience as a Behavioral Health Specialist at a community mental health agency. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with adults aged 18 to 65, providing group, individual, and family therapy. My clients often come to me facing significant challenges in their daily lives, and together, we work towards meaningful improvements in their overall functioning. I specialize in addressing a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, family relationships, grief and bereavement, intimate and romantic relationships, life transitions, perinatal support (pregnancy, prenatal, postpartum), stress, and trauma. My therapeutic philosophy centers on collaboration and empowerment. I believe in working in partnership with my clients, utilizing their strengths to help them navigate their challenges and achieve their goals. It's essential to consider all aspects of an individual's life that impact their well-being, including physical health, support systems (family, friends, etc.), work or school environment, and faith or spirituality.
