Getting to know Katie Parisi

*This provider does not accept any Medicaid or Medicare plans* “A gentle space to honor your grief, your love, and all that still remains.” Grief can feel overwhelming, isolating, and at times, deeply misunderstood. Whether you are navigating the loss of a loved one, the heartbreak of losing a beloved animal, or the quiet ache of anticipatory grief, you do not have to carry it alone. I specialize in supporting individuals through grief in all its forms—including pet loss, life transitions, and the emotional weight that comes with loving deeply. My work is rooted in the belief that grief is not something to “move on” from, but something we learn to hold with care, compassion, and meaning over time. Together, we create a space that is steady and nonjudgmental—where your story is honored, your emotions are welcomed, and your pace is respected. There is no timeline here, no pressure to feel differently than you do. Only space to gently explore, process, and begin to integrate your loss in a way that feels true to you. My approach is warm, compassionate, and grounded. I draw from evidence-based practices while honoring the deeply personal nature of grief. This may include gentle grounding techniques, meaning-making, and creating ways to stay connected to the love that remains. Above all, I believe in meeting each client exactly where they are. If you are navigating grief and looking for a space that feels understanding, steady, and compassionate, I would be honored to walk alongside you. Said one of Katie's patients: "Katie has been amazing through my journey, truly the best thing that I could've done is connect with her." Katie Parisi has a Master’s in Social Work from The College of Saint Rose. Katie is a Licensed Master Social Worker, LMSW 114413 at Cerebral. Supervised by Amanda Frudakis-Ruckel, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW 095449

I’ve been to several therapists over the years, and I can honestly say Katie is by far the best I’ve had. After trying so many different approaches and providers, I finally feel like I’ve found someone who truly listens, understands, and helps me make real progress. Her compassion, insight, and practical tools have made such a difference in my life. I always leave sessions feeling supported and more confident in handling challenges.
Katie has been an integral part of my wellbeing practice since we began working together. She's created the safest and most inclusive environment for me to be vulnerable, share what's on my mind, and stay grounded in my values.
