“I worked with Kelly for about a year and had an excellent experience. She helped me completely resolve the issue I originally came in with - I genuinely feel "cured" of what brought me to therapy in the first place. What made her so effective was her ability to help me see things from new perspectives I hadn't considered before. She's an excellent listener who asks insightful questions and creates a truly safe, comfortable environment. Her positive and comforting approach made even difficult sessions feel manageable. I particularly appreciated how she would summarize our sessions and connect them to previous work we'd done together. This helped me track my progress and see how everything was building toward my goals. If you're looking for a therapist who combines professional skill with genuine warmth and can help you make real, lasting changes, I highly recommend her.”

Getting to know Kelly Rein

Welcome, it’s nice to meet you! After working with thousands of people and living my own life, I’ve cultivated a special passion for helping teens, young adults and parents. When you’re a teen or young adult, there can be so much to explore and learn, which can be overwhelming and confusing. It’s a lot of fun to have independence but it can also feel like a lot of pressure to grow up. I would love to help you navigate the complexities of life transitions and coming into your adult self. Being a parent of two boys (5 and 8) and a wife, I can fully appreciate the push and pull of work life balance and the struggle of wanting to be a respected professional and a diligent parent. It’s exhausting at times! My goal is to help you as a parent learn how to connect and repair ruptures with your kid(s) and partner. It’s important to bring awareness to how you were parented so that you can become more conscious of the relationship you want to create with your own children and avoid repeating the unhelpful and unsupportive patterns you may have experienced. I find helping people feel less alone and recognize their place in the world is incredibly meaningful. It’s an honor to bear witness to the depths of the human experience and to help facilitate growth. Life is incredibly precious but being able to cherish the beauty can be difficult to do on your own when life is complicated. There’s so much beauty and joy but there can be equal amounts of pain and hurt. My goal is to help you reconcile these experiences to help you find your purpose, live your best life, and be the best version of yourself. Together we will find the glimmers and awe that can be hiding in plain sight. I specialize in teens and adults. I offer compassionate, attachment-focused, psychotherapy, Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to heal the roots of anxiety, depression, and stress/burnout (traumas) so you can create new, positive beliefs.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When we work together, we will collaborate to find and understand the negative self beliefs that were formed in vulnerable times, which often lead to depression, stress and anxiety. We will find the truth of your authentic self and rewrite your story. Our sessions will feel like a comfortable conversation as if you're talking to a caring cousin or doting auntie, but there will also be some pushing towards growth and challenging you to get outside of your comfort zone.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We start with a thorough intake and have conversations about your life, starting from the beginning. Once we have an idea of your challenges, we set goals and continue to work towards the bigger picture while addressing every day life that comes up in between.

Kelly Rein, LCSW has 200+ in-network plans.
Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Initial session: $259 for 60 minutes
Ongoing session: $259 for 60 minutes
  • Sliding scale: Offers lower out-of-pocket fees on an individual basis, typically based on your ability to pay
  • Files your insurance claim: You pay the session fee upfront and the provider files the claim for you, so you can get reimbursed directly without worrying about the paperwork

More information on payments and coverage

I'm in network with Blue Shield of CA (Blue Cross Blue Shield). For other insurances, I'm out-of-network, meaning you would pay the session fee of $259 hour at the time of the appointment and we would seek reimbursement for you through Mentaya. Mentaya is a service that streamlines getting reimbursed for your therapy sessions through out-of-network benefits without the work and frustration of doing it yourself! If you have a PPO, you will have out of network benefits but HMO's do not have out of network benefits. I can run your benefits to see what coverage you have and do all the heavy lifting for you!     Mentaya is perfect if you:    1. Have out-of-network benefits    2. Feel overwhelmed by superbills and insurance    3. Have submitted superbills but failed to get any reimbursement    4. Simply want to skip the hassle of paperwork!        Here's how it works: 1. Sign up for Mentaya  2. Our practice will enter your sessions into the platform.    3. Mentaya submits the claim and handles any insurance follow-up. 4. You get reimbursed by insurance! Mentaya charges a 5% fee per claim, which includes handling any paperwork required, dealing with denials, and calling insurance companies. It's risk-free: They guarantee claims are successfully submitted, or a full refund of their fees.
