Getting to know Kenneth Litwak
Ken Litwak previously served as Executive Director of Algamus Gambling Treatment Center near Phoenix, AZ, before stepping away to pursue a variety of clinical ventures. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management from City University of Seattle and a Master of Science in Professional Counseling, specializing in Addiction Counseling, from Grand Canyon University, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Psychology specializing in trauma from Northcentral University in California, where his doctoral dissertation focuses on the psychology of treating clients with problematic video game play.
Ken is a U.S. Navy veteran who has circumnavigated the Earth twice. While serving as Executive Director for Gambling, Education, and Community Relations at John Brooks Recovery Center, he founded the only residential and outpatient gambling treatment program in the Atlantic City, NJ area. Ken gained extensive public speaking experience while working for the Council on Compulsive Gambling of NJ (800-Gambler) and has spoken throughout the U.S. on topics ranging from video game addiction, gambling disorder, psychological trauma, vaping, the history of gambling, and prevention.
