What should a new client know about working with you?

Therapy with me is honest, collaborative, and focused on real change not just insight. I’m not a passive listener. I show up, ask the tough questions, and walk with you through the discomfort toward clarity and growth. Clients often come to me feeling stuck and trapped in destructive patterns, compulsive behaviors, shame, or relationship struggles. Whether it’s sex and love addiction, substance use, anxiety, or trauma, I help you understand the root of the issue and start working through it with practical tools and deep emotional insight. I bring over 15 years of experience to the table, as well as my own long-term recovery. I know what it’s like to feel lost, and I know that change is possible with the right support. I use evidence-based modalities like CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing, grounded in a person-centered, trauma-informed framework. I also specialize in working with men navigating recovery, identity, intimacy, and purpose. You don’t need to be perfect or have it all figured out to start. You just need to be willing to get honest. My job is to help you feel safe enough to do that, and supported enough to keep going—even when it’s hard. Therapy isn’t about fixing you, it’s about helping you remember who you are underneath all the pain, fear, and survival strategies. If you're ready for that kind of work, I’d be honored to be part of your journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process is straightforward, honest, and focused on creating lasting change. In our first few sessions, I take the time to really get to know you—your history, your pain points, your goals, and the patterns that keep showing up in your life. We don’t just talk about symptoms; we dig into the why behind them. Once we have a clear understanding of what’s going on, we collaborate on a treatment plan tailored to your needs. I use evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and parts work, combined with a deeply relational and trauma-informed lens. I’m directive when needed, and always grounded in empathy and realness. Sessions are a mix of practical tools and emotional processing. We’ll challenge negative beliefs, build emotional regulation skills, unpack past wounds, and strengthen your sense of agency and identity. If you're in recovery, we’ll integrate your program work. If you're in a relationship, we’ll explore attachment dynamics and communication breakdowns. Everything is adapted to you. I check in regularly to make sure therapy is working for you—and I invite feedback so we stay aligned and productive. Whether we’re working short-term or long-term, my goal is to help you create momentum, gain clarity, and build a life that feels aligned with who you truly are. Therapy with me is a space where you don’t have to perform, hide, or hold back. Just show up, be real, and let’s do the work.
