Kia Everett, LPC

Psychotherapist
1276 Providence Rd, Clifton Heights, PA
Hi there, I'm Dr. Kia! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 30 years of experience in the field. I am here for you and excited to start your journey to wellness together. My approach I usually favor a cognitive-behavioral therapy approach. I also use a solution-focused approach to help you move beyond your current circumstances. My focus I typically work with clients who are suffering from trauma, depression, and anxiety. I also have experience working with clients on the spectrum. My communication style I am a very friendly, warm-hearted counselor who is available to my clients. I am flexible with scheduling and will try to make my times convenient for you. My journey to mental healthcare I have always wanted to help others. I started out as a young person helping in camps as a camp counselor and then pursued further education. Growing up in a single-parent home, I learned and understood the effects of trauma without fully understanding what it was. As a result, I wanted to help others live a life of hope beyond their trauma. This path led me to become an award-winning licensed therapist. My education includes a Doctor of Counseling from Grace Christian University, a Master’s degree from Capella University, a Master’s in Health Sciences from Lincoln University, and a Bachelor’s degree from West Chester University. My goals for you My initial approach is to ask my clients about the goals and plans they have for themselves and their vision for therapy. My first session with you We will introduce ourselves, discuss what brought you to therapy, what you hope to achieve, and your goals for your therapy sessions.
