Psychotherapist
CO
Hello, I'm Kim. With over 20 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and psychotherapist, I've had the privilege of helping clients navigate the complexities of life's challenges in a supportive and nonjudgemental environment. Whether it's through my previous work as an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Counselor, Behavioral Health Case Manager, Crisis Counselor, or in my private practice, my goal has always been to provide compassionate and effective care. Mental health challenges can affect anyone at different times in life and in many different ways. They can manifest through symptoms such as difficulty sleeping, excessive worry, irritability, low mood, trouble concentrating, or physical symptoms like fatigue and tension. These struggles may be triggered by trauma or situational stressors, such as work pressure, relationship/family issues, major life transitions, parenting challenges, or even larger societal concerns. Sometimes, mental health difficulties can also have a genetic or hereditary component. In my practice, I use evidence-based techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help individuals manage and overcome these challenges. By focusing on patterns of thinking and behavior, CBT helps to reframe negative thought patterns, making it easier to manage stress, regulate emotions, and improve overall well-being. I believe in a collaborative approach, working together to understand the underlying causes of your mental health concerns and develop personalized strategies that fit your unique needs. Throughout our work together, my goal is to provide a supportive and empathetic space where you feel heard, valued, and empowered to make positive changes. If you're facing mental health struggles, you're not alone—help is available. With the right tools and support, it’s possible to regain balance and live a more fulfilling, centered life.
