Getting to know Kimberly Persico
I understand that seeking treatment can be intimidating, but the good news is you've already taken the first step! I aim to help my clients cultivate self-love and self-acceptance while assisting them in achieving positive change within themselves and their relationships. I provide a safe, affirming, and non-judgmental environment for my clients to explore and process their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. We will work collaboratively to help you accomplish your goals. I look forward to connecting with you and joining you as you embark on your journey toward mental wellness.
Kim is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of New York and holds a Master of Science in Education (MSEd) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. John's University. In addition to working in private practice, Kim also has experience in a clinic-based setting providing care to the community. She has worked with a wide array of individuals presenting with various mental health concerns, such as trauma-related disorders, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, low self-esteem, burnout, family conflict, and more. Kim also has experience supporting individuals exploring their gender and sexual identities. She utilizes a psychodynamic, trauma-informed approach, incorporating various evidence-based interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral techniques, to meet the unique needs of each client.
