What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to therapy is collaborative, affirming, and tailored to your unique needs. I often tell clients that our work together will feel conversational while centering your growth. I integrate evidence-based techniques including CBT, mindfulness, relational strategies, and EMDR—with a deep understanding of how personal experiences, culture, and identity shape mental health. Sessions are a space for self-exploration, healing, and growth, where you are met with compassion, honesty, and practical strategies to help you navigate life’s challenges. I believe therapy should feel **safe, supportive, and empowering**. While healing can be challenging, we will move at a pace that honors your comfort and readiness. You don’t have to have all the answers before starting—just a willingness to show up for yourself. If you're ready to begin this journey, I’m here to walk alongside you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work together begins with an initial session focused on understanding your concerns, goals, and background. This is a space for you to share what brings you to therapy, while I ask thoughtful questions to get a sense of your experiences and how we can best work together. From there, we’ll collaboratively develop a plan tailored to your needs, whether that involves processing past trauma, managing anxiety, or building healthier coping strategies. In ongoing sessions, you can expect a warm, semi- structured, and interactive approach. I integrate evidence-based techniques while also making space for reflection, self-exploration, and real-life application. Some sessions may be focused on practical skill-building, while others may involve deep emotional processing—we move at a pace that honors your readiness and comfort. Above all, therapy with me is a partnership —I’m here to support, challenge, and guide you while creating a safe and affirming space for your healing.
