Psychotherapist
MI
I provide attachment focused therapy for high functioning adults in Michigan who feel stuck in overthinking, people pleasing, and second guessing themselves in relationships. You are the one people rely on. The one who shows up, follows through, and keeps things together. But behind that, you might be replaying conversations, overthinking every decision, saying yes when you want to say no, and feeling guilty for even needing space. It is exhausting to always be the one who holds it all. Even when you try to do things differently, you find yourself pulled back into the same patterns in relationships, communication, and decision making. That is where our work begins. Many of these patterns were learned early in life and made sense at the time. They helped you stay connected, avoid conflict, or keep the peace. Now they are showing up in ways that leave you feeling drained, disconnected, or unsure of yourself. In therapy, we focus on what is happening in the moment those patterns take over. We slow things down so you can start responding in a way that actually feels aligned with you, not just what you think you should do. My style is warm, direct, and grounded. This is a space where you can be honest about what is actually going on without feeling judged or rushed. I offer virtual therapy for adults throughout Michigan.

What should a new client know about working with you?

You do not need to have everything figured out before you start. Most of my clients are used to being the strong one. They are thoughtful, self aware, and used to handling things on their own. Therapy can feel unfamiliar because it asks you to slow down instead of push through. Working with me is both grounded and real. I am warm and supportive, but also honest and direct. I will help you notice patterns, reflect what is happening beneath the surface, and guide you toward responding in ways that feel more aligned with you. You can expect sessions to feel like a space where you can actually exhale. You do not have to perform, explain everything perfectly, or get it right. If you are someone who feels stuck in the same cycles in relationships, communication, or decision making, this work focuses on helping you change those patterns in a way that feels steady and sustainable.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We start by getting clear on what has been feeling hard for you. This might include overthinking, people pleasing, difficulty with boundaries, or feeling disconnected from yourself in relationships. From there, we focus on what happens in the moment those patterns take over. Instead of only talking about situations after they happen, we slow them down and look at your thoughts, emotions, and body responses as they are happening. This helps you begin to respond differently in real time, not just know what you should do. Sessions are collaborative and tailored to you. Some sessions are more reflective, while others focus on practicing new ways of responding so that change carries into your daily life. Over time, the goal is for you to feel more clear in your decisions, more grounded in yourself, and more confident in how you show up in your relationships.
