I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas since 2015, working with individuals who experience depression, anxiety, social anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, borderline personality disorder, and/or substance abuse. I work with adults 18 & older to identify your goals and what steps are necessary for you to achieve them. I use person-centered therapy, CBT, and DBT. I have experience in inpatient and intensive outpatient treatment facilities, where I worked with individuals, families, and groups who experienced a broad range of mental health and substance use difficulties. If you have never been in therapy, that is okay!

What should a new client know about working with you?

Do you experience intense emotions, difficulty in relationships, or feelings of emptiness? If you've been feeling stuck, doubting your abilities, or questioning your value, I'm here to support you as you learn to navigate these challenges and develop emotional stability. I can help you on your journey to achieving what you want for your life. Affirming, warm, and solution-oriented reflect my style of communication. Your needs and goals are a priority and will be treated with such respect. While I begin sessions with you, sharing and processing anything you would like, there is no pressure. If you are not sure what to discuss or where to begin, I am prepared to guide you based on what goals you have identified.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I have always been passionate about being a non-judgmental, safe ear to listen to others and offer empathy. Having family and friends who struggled alone motivated me to pursue a career in counseling so that no one else would have to experience life in isolation. Together, we will walk the path to a better life. In order to benefit from therapy, you must be willing to do the work in and out of sessions. I offer support, but I cannot make changes in your life for you. While you identify goals initially, we will update and track your progress along the way to make any changes necessary. Allowing yourself to be vulnerable and discuss challenging things can be scary, but it is needed in order to grow. In your first session, we will explore your goals for treatment and implement a treatment plan to decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. I believe everyone deserves a non-judgmental listening ear who truly cares and wants to understand. Mental health issues can leave you feeling alone in the world, and your friends and family may not understand. I hope to help you feel understood.
