I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, a Bachelor’s from Montclair State University, and an Associate’s from Franconia College. Additionally, I trained in psychoanalysis at the New Jersey Institute for Training in Psychoanalysis. My diverse professional background, combined with my lifelong dedication to guiding others through emotional challenges, has informed my unique empathetic approach to psychotherapy. I understand that most issues lie deep and it takes time for clients to work through them to find lasting relief. However, others might only need short-term treatment, in which case I address presenting problems to offer more immediate relief. My goal is to assist each client in finding comfort, perspective, stability, and strategies to resolve inner conflicts. I work primarily with adults, emerging adults, and couples. My approach with individuals is primarily psychodynamic, integrated with evidence-based short-term techniques. This integrative approach offers my clients early relief and time to decide if they would like to work on deeper exploration of the "self." Other specialties include helping parents find the balance between being consistent, strong parents and emotionally supportive allies and mentors. In addition, I work with couples—whether married or not, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity—to help them understand and repair the dynamics of their relationships.
