Getting to know Larry Gamble

I have been helping others recover from a multitude of challenges, traumas, and negative life experiences. I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with Bachelor's degree in Psychology (concentration in child and adolescent psychology), in addition to a Master's Degree in addition to a Master's Degree in Social Work. I am a licensed clinical social worker with a broad-based knowledge in helping others. I have worked in many settings including community-based clinics, juvenile and adult courts, adult inpatient psychiatry, local government behavioral health programs, addiction treatment settings, psychiatric rehabilitation programs, intellectual disability programs, and more. I purposefully developed a career and competencies, and skills in providing psychotherapy to a broad spectrum of persons needing help. My areas of particular specialization include addiction medicine (also process addictions) adolescents, adults, affective disorders, thought disorders, criminal justice /court involved, I provide services to adolescents 16 and up, adults of all ages, individuals, families, couples. I employ different approaches to therapy, depending on the presenting of the client, some of them include Cognitive Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Marital Therapy (Imago), Psychodynamic, Object Relations, and Structural/Strategic Family Therapy.
