Qualifications and Experience
I am an eclectic therapist who utilizes multiple modes of therapy including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy techniques, Solution Focused, and Motivational Interviewing approaches in order to create a personalized, client centered experience. I provide services for couples and individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, personality disorders, anger management, self esteem issues, couple/family discord, and work/school related issues. I believe in building a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship. I utilize a strengths-based, relational approach to create a safe and supportive environment for clients to move closer to a greater overall well-being.

I did not know what to expect for my first session with a counselor, but Leanne is down to earth and easy to talk to. I immediately felt at ease. You can tell she is truly interested in the well-being of her patients - not just wanting to help them maintain, but get past what is holding them back from living life to the fullest. I left feeling like I am on track for setting goals and with homework to start tackling the root of my anxiety.

Leanne has been a huge help with my anxiety and depression. I've been seeing her for almost a year now and I have seen such a dramatic difference in my overall mood. She is blunt and gives it to you straight when you need it, soft and more subtle when you're not ready to face your issues yet and is always open and ready to listen. There have been times that I was dreading the appointments because I was fearful of judgement but she has never been judgmental towards me whatsoever and I always leave feeling refreshed. Take her homework seriously. Make sure you take advantage of her 20 min trail and she's a good fit for you, you won't be sorry.
