Are you an adult or adolescent struggling with immense distress, depression, anxiety, or substance use? If so, you need a supportive and understanding environment where you can explore your thoughts and emotions without judgment. Your goal is to find stability and develop coping skills that enable you to lead a more fulfilling life. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of Maryland and am here to help.

What should a new client know about working with you?

You’re unique—and your therapy should be too. I use a holistic approach to therapy and specialize in CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic therapy so I can offer personalized solutions. With over 30 years of experience as a social worker, I offer a comprehensive approach to mental health care. My goal is to help you discover answers within yourself to help you heal. To do that, I create a safe space and nurture a structured and supportive relationship to guide you through our therapy together. Whether you’re dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use disorders, or relationship challenges, I can help you live life to the fullest.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We always start with a thorough assessment. This takes from 1 to 3 sessions. Our assessment leads to a few clear, collaboratively developed, and achievable, goals. We look for patterns in thoughts, feelings, and behavior. I am frequently looking for your opportunities to practice acquired insights and skills outside of our sessions. I frequently look for your feedback about our work together. And woven into almost everything we do together is my curiosity of the details of your experiences, both in the room with me, and in your wider life.
