Psychotherapist

Often, individuals can find themselves stuck in the same difficult thought and behavior patterns, which can make their situation feel overwhelming or hopeless. Engaging in therapy can help break free from these repeated patterns and find a fresh perspective on life. I am passionate about working side by side with my clients along this journey and seeing the amazing things they are capable of! My counseling style is engaging and empathetic. I believe in meeting clients where they are and working with them to develop goals for treatment. My approach is a combination of Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, as well as Client-Centered and Solution-Focused therapies. I feel it is important to both align with my clients and challenge them to take a look at those unhelpful thought and behavior patterns that may be holding them back. I am a licensed clinical therapist with over 10 years of experience working in the mental health field and providing individual therapy. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University and a Bachelor's degree from DePaul University. I have assisted clients with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, and life changes. I have also worked with individuals with substance use concerns and trauma history. “Wherever there is a human in need, there is an opportunity for kindness and to make a difference.” – Kevin Heath I commend you for taking this difficult step in the journey of bettering yourself and look forward to working with you!
