What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe therapy is a collaborative partnership, and I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, heard, respected, and empowered to be themselves. As a military spouse and mother of 5, I have personal experience navigating major life transitions and the unique challenges that can come with change, uncertainty, and balancing family responsibilities. I meet each client where they are and take time to understand their experiences, strengths, needs, and goals without judgment. Clients can expect a warm, supportive, and authentic therapeutic relationship while also being encouraged to explore patterns, develop practical coping skills, and work toward meaningful change. My goal is to help clients feel empowered in their healing while recognizing that their past experiences do not have to define their future.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work begins with an initial intake and assessment to understand your current concerns, relevant history, strengths, support systems, and goals for therapy. Together, we will identify treatment priorities and develop a personalized treatment plan that reflects what you want to accomplish in therapy. Throughout treatment, I use a collaborative, trauma-informed approach and integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, person-centered therapy, and trauma-informed somatic interventions based on each client’s needs. CBT may be used to identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, while mindfulness and somatic-informed techniques can support emotional awareness, grounding, and regulation. We will regularly evaluate your progress and adjust our approach as needed, with the goal of helping you develop practical tools, strengthen self-awareness, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change
