Hello, let me introduce myself, I am Lula Moultrie Heatley, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over two decades of experience in mental health, substance abuse, EAP, and medical social work. My journey in the field of social work began with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work, Master of Social Work, and a Master of Rehabilitation Counseling. I also hold a Graduate Certificate in Psychiatric Rehabilitation from USC Medical School, and a Graduate Certificate in International EAP from The University of Maryland. Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to providing compassionate and evidence-based care to individuals, families, and communities. My professional experience spans diverse roles, including private practice, outpatient mental health services, hospice care, and working with diverse populations facing complex challenges such as terminal illness, substance abuse, trauma, PTSD, end-stage kidney disease, leadership development, conducting biopsychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, grief counseling, mood disorders, trauma, PTSD, Obsessive compulsive Disorder, Personality Disorder, for the past 25 years. Similarly, my approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and supporting individuals from a person-centered lens. I believe in empowering individuals to overcome challenges and achieve their highest level of psychosocial functioning.
