Getting to know Madelyn Reilly

At Madelyn Reilly Counseling, LLC, I strive to create a compassionate, empowering space where individuals and families can begin their journey toward healing, balance, and joy. My growing, multidisciplinary practice focuses on supporting people through addiction recovery, disordered eating, and family systems challenges. My team and I believe in supporting anyone, no matter how big or small the individual believes their concern to be. I believe in warm support, accountability, and integration of the unique context of your life. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems Theory, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to tailor care to your unique needs. I work in a collaborative approach with my clients, in order to ensure each client is able to accomplish their counseling goals in a healthy and realistic way. Collaboration is at the heart of what I do—with my team, with families, and alongside other providers. I see each client within the context of their life and relationships, embracing every definition of “family.” I truly believe that strengthening individuals strengthens families, and strengthening families strengthens communities. If you’re ready to make meaningful changes, improve connections within your family system, and heal, I would be honored to walk alongside you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When you work with me and my team, you’re stepping into a collaborative and supportive space where healing happens within the full context of your life and relationships. We approach therapy through a family-systems lens, which means we consider not just your individual experience, but the patterns, dynamics, and connections that shape it. Whether we’re working with you individually, as a couple, or with your family, our goal is to support the entire system so meaningful and lasting change can take root. We draw from evidence-based approaches such as CBT and IFS while working closely with you to understand how your environment, history, and relationships play a role in your well-being. A cornerstone of my approach is body-positive, trauma-informed nutrition and dietetics. Our Registered Dietitians collaborate closely with me and my counseling team to provide wrap-around care, addressing both the emotional and physical aspects of recovery. Together, we help clients rebuild a healthy relationship with food, navigate disordered eating or ARFID, and develop sustainable habits that align with their values.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our work together, we begin by getting to know you and the system you’re part of—your relationships, supports, stressors, and the patterns that shape your day-to-day life. Early sessions focus on understanding your goals and gathering a full picture of what’s bringing you in. From there, we move into active, collaborative work. A typical session may include exploring current challenges, identifying system dynamics, practicing new skills, and building insight into how your environment and relationships impact your well-being. We draw from evidence-based approaches like CBT, IFS, and family-systems therapy to guide the process, always tailoring the work to your needs. This includes concrete skills that can be swiftly applied to your life, and exercises that can be done independently of the team in order to ensure you are getting something REAL to take home with you. For clients navigating food or body-related concerns, we also offer coordinated care with our registered dietitians to support both emotional and nutritional healing. Throughout treatment, we check in regularly about what’s working, what’s shifting, and what support you need next—ensuring the process stays connected, responsive, and grounded in your goals.

Maddie is an amazing person who is very understanding and very helpful She really pushes you to think your hardest.

Madelyn's direct, thoughtful approach and advice on how to break unwanted cycles has made such a huge impact on my life in just a short amount of time. She is able to digest and deeply understand perspectives very quickly and helps me better understand myself.
I have received very good therapy and now nutritionist services from this practice. The therapists/nutritionists are very good, and take a very pragmatic approach to treatment. They help me set goals, and achieve them. I have learned new techniques and approaches to therapy, including internal family systems/parts, and it has really helped. I have recommended the practice to quite a few family members and friends.
I started working with the MRC team when my daughter started having issues surrounding food. We found them in the nick of time, getting her into nutrition counseling and individual therapy. My wife and I started some family counseling alongside these things, which was very educational for us in how to help our daughter improve. I learned about myself in a comfortable environment and found better ways to relate to my wife and daughter. I would highly recommend this practice.
I was very hesitant to start therapy, but realized that I was struggling and wanted to get better. It was the best decision I ever made along with choosing Madelyn Reilly as my therapist. She’s very compassionate and committed to her patients and helps you understand what’s going on and how to unpack it and help you. She’s very direct and supportive. She is exactly what I needed when I needed it, and would highly recommend her to anyone and everyone. She has changed my life in so many ways.
I came in to see Maddie to work on my motivation and confidence, and get myself out of a place I felt stuck. As a young man, I was always wary of therapy and didn’t see the point in it for me. With Maddie, I found a very warm and friendly environment. Maddie is a great conversationalist who is direct and holds me accountable. Really helped me discover myself using the internal family systems method. Couldn’t be happier with my decision to try therapy with Maddie.
Madelyn is the best therapist I have had in my many years of therapy. She always makes me feel open to say all of my thoughts and is very supportive. She’s a great therapist.
I went to Madelyn Reilly when I was struggling with what to do in my marriage. I was unsure with how to deal with certain things, but she explained things from a different perspective that help me move forward. We ended up bringing my wife in and I think we are moving in a better direction. I would recommend this practice.
She made the whole thing feel really relaxed. I didn’t feel judged at all, and she asked questions that actually got me thinking. It was a really good experience!
