My values as a therapist are based on the belief that decisions should be shared and that therapy is collaborative. Clients are empowered to overcome obstacles that have interfered with living a well-meaningful life. I incorporate evidence-based practices from a trauma-informed and person-centered perspective. I hold a Master's in Counseling from Mercy University.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Florida. I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, a trauma focused approach. As an EMDR therapist I assume that unhealed trauma is playing a major role in presenting issues and I work with my clients to heal unresolved trauma. I specialize in working with adults who have experienced Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), C-PTSD, Childhood trauma, Anxiety, Depression, difficulty adjusting to a life altering event and other circumstances that require a safe non-judgmental approach. I engage client's in EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and other evidence-based approaches to address the root cause of their distress, rather than just managing the symptoms. Together, we develop coping mechanisms, self-care strategies, and emotional regulation techniques to equip clients for a more balanced and fulfilling life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach is tailored to meet the diversity of each individual client. My ideal client is motivated to change and prepared to do the work. As an ally I use my professional expertise to help clients accomplish their self identified goals.
