Getting to know Mark Samuelson

Entering into psychotherapy is a courageous decision. We recognize the innate drive for autonomy and individuality in every person. Frequently, internal, external, and historical experiences impinge on this uniqueness and impose barriers and challenges to development and personal fulfillment. It is the task of psychotherapy to illuminate and make conscious the impediments to growth. Psychotherapeutic treatment and techniques allow for deliberate changes that both alleviate symptomatic behaviors and promote the intentional, creative growth of the individual. No two paths are alike. I hold a Master's in Clinical Social Work from Loyola University Chicago, which informs my approach to supporting each person's unique journey.
