For over 10 years, Mary worked as a respiratory therapist. She watched many of her patients struggle with managing their complex emotional responses due to coping with chronic respiratory illnesses. Having a tender heart, Mary knew that there was more that she wanted to do to help people who were coping with chronic medical conditions. Her experiences in the medical field inspired her to pursue more education to learn how to help people live fuller lives despite their illness and past.
She completed her master’s degree in clinical counseling from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. In addition to the successful completion of her master’s degree, she participated in additional specialization and obtained her national certification counselor status. This status allows Mary to encourage clients to make healthier lifestyle changes.
Mary currently accepts BCBS PPO, Cigna, Loyola Physician Partners BCBS HMO, self-pay, out of network reimbursement, and sliding scale. Please feel free to request an appointment to meet with Mary to learn more about how she can help you.
