What should a new client know about working with you?

When you begin therapy with me, you can expect to be welcomed with genuine sincerity, empathy, and respect. I believe that every person's story matters, so I take the time to get to know you, understand your unique experiences, and explore what has brought you to this point in your life. My counseling approach is eclectic and personalized, integrating a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities to best meet your individual needs and goals. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor therapy to help you work through the challenges you are facing and move toward meaningful healing and growth. I am certified in trauma-informed care and have completed Phase 1 certification in Brainspotting, allowing me to offer specialized support for those recovering from trauma and other deeply rooted emotional concerns. For clients who desire it, I also welcome conversations about the intersection of faith and science as part of the therapeutic process. I am happy to incorporate prayer into our sessions when it aligns with your beliefs and preferences, always allowing you to guide the role that faith plays in your care.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Your first session will include a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment, exploring the physical, psychological, and social aspects of your life, as each plays an important role in your overall wellbeing. Using the information gathered during this and any subsequent assessment sessions, we will develop a working diagnosis together. From there, I will create an individualized treatment plan that reflects your goals, preferences, and feedback. Ongoing sessions will be tailored to your unique needs, with your goals, priorities, and desired outcomes guiding our work together throughout the therapeutic process.
