UpLift Behavioral Health providers do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by any federal or state agency or other drugs that may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. My name is Mary Vaughan, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida. I am a military brat, and I can't tell you exactly where I am from because I have lived in too many places, but I was born in Savannah, GA. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Valdosta State University. I have used Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) throughout the past 20 years of my practice. I use this technique because I have found it to be the best way to guide clients. CBT helps clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors all work together, showing how negative thoughts can trap a person in their life. I work with clients to help them reframe their thoughts and create healthy replacement thoughts.
