Getting to know Mayer Chemtob
Mr. Chemtob attended Touro College, where he obtained a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling and School Psychology.
Currently, he runs his own practice, where clients visit him for a variety of reasons, including stress, anxiety, sleep disturbances and social-emotional concerns. In conjunction with his current counseling practice, he utilizes hypnotherapy techniques upon request from his clients. He is a Board Certified Hypnotherapist from the National Guild of Hypnotists in good standing. He engages his clients in progressive muscle relaxation, visualization and meditation practices. He also completed extensive continuing education in mindfulness. All of the above techniques continue to be useful tools in his current practice.
A friendly individual and a good listener, Mr. Chemtob encourages his patients to drop all inhibitions and discuss their issues freely and without judgment. He ensures every individual leaves the office feeling satisfied and motivated to move forward in all respects to help improve their overall level of functioning.

Every time i manage to be able to sit down and talk with him I'm always able to let my problems out. When i think theres no other person to talk to or to turn to ill always know that he was there making sure i was healthy and in a better state of mind then before. Im always able to go in and get straight to business if necessary. But im more then words beyond thankful to have mayer be my therapist for the past year and couple months. I was able to get out of my absolute lowest moments. He was there for me for day one. And he’s plain and simple one of the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be.

Mayer was very helpful to my son Mark. Mark trusted Mayer which is very important. I saw major improvements in Mark since he started with Mayer. I hope this was helpful I wish Mayer much success in his new endeavor.
