More about Meghan Farina, LPC
When you're feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or anxious, it can be difficult to know where to turn for help. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process. If you're looking for an approach to therapy that will help you heal on a deep level and create lasting change in your life, I encourage you to keep reading!
My approach
My trauma-informed approach to counseling supports you in reclaiming your sense of self, rebuilding your emotional clarity, and reconnecting with your inner light. I provide an integrative and holistic approach to healing for the mind, body, and spirit. For the mind, we will work on emotional insight, unhealthy thinking patterns, and negative core beliefs. For the body, we will integrate somatic awareness, deep breathing, and nervous system support. For the spirit, we will discuss soul-aligned growth, finding your purpose, and connecting with your inner light. Holistic counseling goes beyond putting a band-aid on your symptoms and strives to create long-term healing and wellness by addressing the root cause of your challenges, using traditional psychology methods along with alternative healing modalities. My theoretical approach combines elements of dialectical behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, and mindfulness-based practices.
My focus
Together, I work with my clients to heal childhood wounds, reduce stress, improve mental health symptoms, build a life of meaning and purpose, create healthy and lasting relationships, and most importantly, learn to love your most authentic self. I have over seven years of experience working with individuals who are living with anxiety, depression, ADHD, substance use, post-traumatic stress disorder, difficult life transitions, and mood disorders. I specialize in healing childhood trauma and recovering from narcissistic abuse and unhealthy family dynamics.
