Getting to know Meghan Hanes

Hello! My name is Meghan and I specialize in working with clients struggling with trauma, substance use/dual-diagnosis, anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationships, and life changes. I am an EMDR trained therapist. My background is rooted in trauma-informed care, with over 8 years of experience supporting individuals through life’s most challenging moments. I’m passionate about helping people untangle the impact of their past so they can find clarity, connection, and calm in the present.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck in cycles that no longer serve them, or unsure how to navigate painful memories and emotional triggers. Whether you're working through childhood trauma, facing substance use challenges, or feeling disconnected in your relationships, I’m here to walk alongside you. Together, we’ll identify the patterns, beliefs, and behaviors that are keeping you from feeling whole, and work toward meaningful, lasting change. My sessions are judgment-free and client-centered, meeting you exactly where you are and empowering you to take steps at your own pace. I’m committed to making therapy feel like a place you want to show up. Think of me as your guide and anchor, here to provide structure, support, and safety as you explore difficult emotions and reclaim your voice.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work together is a collaborative process. Therapy with me is a space where you can speak your truth without fear of being minimized or judged. My goal is to help you build insight, regulate your nervous system, and strengthen your capacity for connection and self-trust. Currently accepting new clients for virtual sessions in Oregon. Let's connect when you're ready. I offer a wide range of availability to accommodate your busy lifestyle, with appointments as early at 7am and as late as 8pm, as well as Saturdays
