Hello! I'm a licensed Therapist with 7 years of experience providing counseling to individuals and couples seeking to improve their mental health. I hold a Master's in Clinical Social Work from New York University, which has equipped me with the skills to support a wide range of clients. At the core of my practice is the belief that all individuals are capable of recovery and can regain fulfilling, wholesome lives. I provide warmth and care within a trusting relationship that fosters the healing and growth necessary for meaningful change.
With empathy, compassion, and support, I guide clients on their journey to discovering new life meaning. Throughout my clinical experience, I have helped clients overcome symptoms of anxiety, depression, and PTSD. I also have experience assisting those with Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder to live more satisfying lives. Additionally, I support clients who want to develop better stress management skills to enhance their overall mental health, become their best selves, and strengthen their relationships.

What is your typical process for working with clients?
To start off, we will get to know each other. I will help you identify the goals you would like to achieve in therapy. In my practice I do talk therapy, CBT, and Psychodynamic models. I will help you process and work through past traumas and work towards healing. I will help you identify any current patterns you may have formed due to past relationships or experiences you had in life, and help to identify if any patterns need to be broken to create new healthy ones. I will help you learn tools that you can use for stress management, to reduce anxiety and depression, or just to gain more self awareness to grow and be your best self.

I have been seeing Melissa for over a year now and she is one of the most incredible therapists I have ever worked with. I have worked with a few other therapists in the past, but Melissa has been able to reach the roots of my issues and help me overcome many of my anxieties, fears, and insecurities. I went through something very traumatic in the past year and were it not for speaking with Melissa and utilizing the strategies that she taught me, I would not be here today. Our sessions and the tools that she taught me have helped me become the most confident and secure version of myself, which I never thought was possible. I am truly grateful for our sessions and her continued guidance.
