“I have worked with Meredith for over 7 years and she is truly the best. What I love the most about her is that she is highly adaptable and willing to work based on your needs. Sometimes I need a little more coaching, sometimes I need to talk to get to know myself and come up with my own solutions, sometimes I need a walk or to make a plan, and sometimes I am looking for tools/guidance based on her expertise. Meredith has always been able to flex. I’ve never had a topic too sensitive for her and she handles everything professionally. After all of these years, I truly feel that she is “my biggest fan” in the most professional way which enables me to be completely transparent with her and more importantly myself and continuously grow through my life experiences. ”

Getting to know Meredith Stockton

No one's mental health exists in a vacuum. We are bombarded with information from people around us and social media about who we "should" be, we suffer when we buy into personal narratives that aren't useful, and we feel empty or listless when we lose touch with what we actually value. This disrupts our sense of connection to our minds, bodies, and communities. Clients who work with me learn to improve their relationships to themselves and others by reconnecting to what brings them meaning. This doesn't mean you will live a life without pain, but it does mean you can find fulfillment again.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I empower adults through affirming mindfulness-based psychotherapy, like Acceptance and Behavioral Therapy (ACT). I also offer individualized wellness coaching programs. I use authenticity, sense of humor, and nonjudgmental curiosity to make clients feel comfortable enough for us to challenge what currently isn't helping them. All of my services are inclusive to the BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and neurodivergent communities. I also explore living well with those experiencing chronic pain or illness. I strive to provide clients compassionate care and dismantle antiquated systems that historically oppressed clients in therapeutic settings. However, I cannot speak for my judgmental one-eyed cat.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Each session, including the new client intake, will be about an hour long. During the first session, we'll discuss your mental health history, family history, and what you'd like to work on in therapy. My goal is for us to get to know each other so we can determine together if I'm the right therapist for you.
