“For my initial appointment, this provider was great. He was thorough in trying to understand my current situation and struggles while having a discussion that made it feel more like a regular conversation than a provider overpowering a client. The platform also schedules future appointments automatically so that was nice for me. So far so good. Definitely recommend this provider.”

Getting to know Michael Bjornson

Hi there, I'm Michael! Hello, my name is Dr. Michael Bjornson. Most of my clients simply refer to me as Dr. "B." I have been a licensed clinical psychologist for over 26 years, with active licenses in California, Utah, and Wyoming. I earned my PhD in Clinical Health Psychology from Alliant International University and completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Utah. I am honored that you are considering me to help you with whatever life challenges have led you to seek support. Whether this is your first time seeking help or not, I recognize that starting therapy is a big decision requiring courage and trust in another human being to be there for you in a professional, caring capacity—to guide you through important and difficult concerns. I consider myself a privileged participant in people's lives as I "journey" alongside them in their struggles. I strive to help people through caring, compassionate, non-judgmental, and confidential services, emphasizing a positive psychology perspective, including CBT, ACT, and humanistic approaches. I have spent most of my career working alongside physicians and other primary care providers in primary and specialty care settings. My goal is to provide comprehensive, compassionate care tailored to each individual's unique needs. My goal is to provide comprehensive, compassionate care tailored to each individual's unique needs.
