Michelle Dyl, LPC

Psychotherapist
CO
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Littleton, Colorado, and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adults (ages 18+) and specialize in depression, anxiety, traumatic stress, and relational issues. I am a Generalist with experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Mindfulness. My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of each client I work with. I most frequently use a Person-Centered approach, along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. These modalities help me and the client to build a shared understanding of their reality, and allow us to work together to chart a path forward. My focus I have found that my style and approach are a good fit for adults who may be dealing with a variety of life's challenges. For the client, this may take the form of depression, anxiety, stress, and even suicidal or homicidal thoughts. I work to help my clients navigate these concerns and build skills to allow them to feel better about themselves and develop a more positive outlook on life. My communication style is calm, accommodating, and personable. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking with me about anything, and I pride myself on my ability to listen without judgement. I decided to become a therapist because of my own experience as a therapy client and a strong desire to help others with the challenges that life throws at them. After graduating from Regis University in Denver I have spent 27 years working with a local community mental health center where I have worked with clients of all ages. As an active Eastern Orthodox Christian for over 30 years, I am interested in working with individuals with shared religious beliefs although is not a requirement for working with me as I am open to working with individuals of all cultures and religious beliefs.
