Hi there, I'm Michelle! Hi, I'm Dr. Michelle Moran (PSY 28340), a mom and an advocate for nurturing relationships throughout our lifetime. I earned my PsyD from Alliant International University. My practice focuses on supporting children and families. I offer a variety of services including parent guidance and support, individual therapy, infant-parent therapy, parent-child therapy, family therapy, reflective practice facilitation, and case consultation. My approach I integrate everything I know about attachment, mindfulness, emotional regulation, infant-parent mental health, reflective practice, child and human development, maternal mental health, trauma, neuroscience, and evidence-based practice to inform my work with clients. My focus I typically work with families who have children from birth to 18 years old. This includes expectant parents; perinatal mental health; parents experiencing relational challenges with their children; parents navigating separation, divorce, or co-parenting; and parents seeking coaching or guidance. I see children in therapy both with and without their parents, depending on age and appropriateness. My communication style I empower clients by providing emotional safety, guidance, and support to increase reflective capacities and expand support systems when needed. I explore how early childhood experiences show up in relationships, behavioral patterns, and how thoughts and feelings influence behavior. When working with parents, I focus on the parent behind the parenting and the child behind the behavior to help families heal. My role is to offer new perspectives and solutions for challenges appearing in relationships and other areas of life. My journey to mental healthcare I was inspired by my sister, who has a neurodevelopmental disorder with physical and intellectual disabilities. Once I realized the power of healing and change through relationships, I knew there was nothing better than that.
